We’re unable to hold Livestox

We’re unable to hold Livestox today, so be sure to join us tomorrow (Friday) at 12:15pm ET. Meanwhile, you’ve probably noticed that TRTC doubled upon testing the decline’s longstanding target, while GWPH has broken sharply under its pullback limit. Comments posted to the activity feed are reprinted below so the marketfy search engine will recognize them. There are also many other stock updates that literally pay to be current on. See you tomorrow!

fennecby — thanks Rod. Will view tomorrow (can’t participate live, btw; needs Framework 4.5, and can’t install on my XP).
In the meantime, how does GLUU seem to you? Sold in May and went away after your latest on it: “Room for noise up to 7.00-7.20. But backing-and-filling to 6.20 would be likely after that.” Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — GLUU — An inverted Head & Shoulders began forming since first testing 6.20, Now it’s trying to break higher, but volume is suspiciously low. Another dip to 6.20 and then a high-volume surge would be more credible for resuming the rally. Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — thanks. Posted 1 week ago
Jo B — thanks Rod. i’ll catch up later Posted 1 week ago
Scotty B — Good livestox review. Would you mind visiting SFUN? Looks to me like climb is intact after routing on China worries. However, volume is a little below average. Do you see a continued bullish run up? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — SFUN — Pretty big resistance at 8.30 which would be very bullish to overcome, but so long as it holds there remains an attraction below to 5.60 Posted 1 week ago
Scotty B — Thanks! One more, one of my better holding this year – USCR. I am still adding shares. It seems to have broken out of the recent double top. Would you agree with accumulating more around $42? And do you see a continued run up? Posted 1 week ago
Miss Kitty — GOOG update please now that it has exceeded $650. Thanks. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — USCR — Assuming that yesterday’s high was the breakout’s peak, then I would consider accumulating a pullback to 39 +/-. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — GOOGL — Fulfilling longstanding target at 644… and then some. Need to see the closing price to make further calculations. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — HEMP — I’m not familiar with the story’s merits or its validity, but familiar enough to know it’s controversial. Nevertheless, volume patterns developed during the recent low around .011 that are being confirmed by today’s surge testing .014, with room for noise up to .019. Back under .012 would undermine the bounce. Posted 1 week ago
Scotty B — Thanks! Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Trtc just had a big sell that brought it to low 9’s. However the rest of the day was low volume with no reaction around high 9’s… Is today the day to buy, or wait til monday for a further drop/more significant reaction? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — TRTC — I’m still monitoring, since probing under .09 wouldn’t be surprising. Also, the pattern suggests that an actual low will take a little time to develop. Posted 1 week ago
Miss Kitty — Ok. TRTC thoroughly exploring your long-standing .09 target today. If it breaks lower what are the likely lower levels of resistance or would you rather not say? Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Miss Kitty — Disregard my question about TRTC. When I refreshed this page I saw you’d already answered it. Thanks. Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Lower levels of support Miss Kitty :) Posted 1 week ago
Miss Kitty — Ya ya ya. ;-) Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — ;) Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — head & shoulders developing on TASR? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — TASR — Sort of a Head & Shoulders, with the right side of the formation developing more narrowly than its left side. Keep in mind the pattern need not break lower. Closing above 35.50 would target 36.85 and 39.40. Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — thanks. Stopped out @32, so sitting on the sidelines for now. Any news on alerts? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — Yes — ready to launch, just finishing the testing and one other issue Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — cool. Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — RDHL – post secondary, now under your pullback limit (17.05).
Back above it would still be bullish or only temporary? Seems a nasty chart right now, no? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — RDHL – I’d consider any signs of bottoming at 14.65. But otherwise needs to recover above 19.50 before assuming the rally has resumed Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
fennecby — thanks. Posted 1 week ago
Josey — Hi Rod, cyber hacking stocks are up big across the board today. To late to get in or add? Could you look @ KEYW, CYBR and update FEYE. TY Posted 1 week ago
casjf — OXIS, TKMR again please (trying to move up, but may be premature…), SCTY – forming a pennant over the last 4 days? Posted 1 week ago
Boston — FOLD, AXON & PPCH…Please & Thank you! Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — WYY and JAKK please. Posted 6 days ago
Jo B — sounds interesting Rod. thanks. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — HEMP — Updating my comments from Friday morning… Held a pullback to its .014 support and resumed its rally targeting .019. Now testing .019. There is room for noise up to .022 before suggesting that something more substantial may be underway. But this is otherwise likely to be the corrective bounce’s peak. Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Trtc has been trading in the .08’s all morning with a few trades below .086… Volume has been relatively low. Do you think the .086 area will hold? What would the next support below .086 be? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — TRTC — The same pattern having potential to hold .086 can extend to .077. This area is where the pattern has potential for a corrective bounce to .115, if not also to .145 Posted 1 week ago
casjf — SCTY – If this closes above $58 today and tomorrow, it’s going up, right? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — SCTY — That’s essentially correct, although it wouldn’t necessarily be immediate. Until the reversal setup is triggered, today’s surge is vulnerable to being only temporary Posted 1 week ago
Brett-ster — Hi Rod, support and resistance on JMBA please? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — JMBA — Forming a reverse ascending triangle. So long as 15.30 support holds, a breakout would target 17.70 Posted 1 week ago
Brett-ster — Thanks Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — SRNA — I’m disappointed in myself for missing this setup, a perfectly measured Symmetrical Triangle that is surging sharply today from .06. It’s already testing relevant resistance now at .105-.108, and closing above it would would next target .13. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — TRTC — Pierced under .08, still having potential on this leg to .077. There is no bottoming pattern in development, so any bounce is likely to be only temporary Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
guanito — Tks SRNA. saw it, daytraded it. glad it may have legs. Posted 1 week ago
guanito — sitting on retracement level now. .08 Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — AWGI – How this one looking? 20 DMA recently crossed the 50 and 150. 50 DMA crossed the 150 with averages trending up. The things I look at which are MACD, RSI, Chaikin’s Volatility, and On Balance Volume all seem very bullish to me… It looks like if it gets past the 52 week high of .07 the next big test will be .10, then the .14-.15 area? Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — ..could use more volume soon maybe would be the only bad thing I can see Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — needs to get through .06 before .07 Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — AWGI — Chaikin’s money flow family and OBV won’t be reliable in stocks whose spreads between bid/ask represent a large percentage of the share price. Each indicator is calculated from closing prices, which can be very different depending on whether the last trade was a buy or sell. But volume patterns accompanying the various swings do seem to be accumulative, Now testing resistance at .05-.06, perhaps a little pullback is likely before surging higher would be credible. Posted 1 week ago
kit650kr — hi ROD how’s it going? Dad found a little biotech he’d like u to parameter for a LT trade….VRML, Vermillion. Thanks a lot . Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — VRML — Interesting base, ratcheting higher slowly over the course of this year. Closing above 2.21 on expanding volume should not hesitate extending higher if an upleg is underway. Posted 1 week ago
casjf — KMI – Is around $34.34 a good place to catch a falling knife or do you think this will fall even further? Posted 1 week ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — ERBB is testing support at .003. Any signs that it might get a bounce from here? If it does, where could it bounce to? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — TRTC — Surging this afternoon from testing .08 to attacking .10. The bottoming pattern isn’t yet complete, so bouncing already is premature. Closing at .10 or better would target .12, maybe .135. Probing again back under .08 would be capable of launching a much more substantial rally effort. Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — KMI — Lower targets remain in-play to at least 32.85, and a knee-jerk reaction up from a falling knife isn’t going to change that. That said, closing back above 36.76 could bounce temporarily to 40 Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — ERBB — This is an ongoing downtrend of lower lows and lower highs, so there won’t yet be any sign of a bounce impending. But a temporary reaction up from support is possible, which at this stage would be signaled back above .0038 Posted 1 week ago
casjf — VLTC – support & target? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — VLTC – Support is right here in the 7.15-40 area. Back above 8.80 and 10.40 would reverse the trend up Posted 1 week ago
guanito — CARA opening way high? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — CARA — Testing 21 pre-open, must close above 18.80-19 to avoid a deeper correction. We’ll review the chart during Livestox today Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — guanito – 2nd phase results.
my guess: it goes back to the 13’s first. Posted 1 week ago
casjf — fennecby & guanito – re CARA -maybe 13 if the market as a whole pulls back further, but this is a big deal, acting like opioids without the addictive side effects. I may sell half, but I’m leaning to holding because CARA could now be an acquisition target. To me, looks like some have known about this for a couple of weeks and have been accumulating in advance of the news. Imagine that. #sarcasm Posted 1 week ago
guanito — took profits already – like a fool. Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — me too, guanito. But not like a fool – profits are there for taking them. ESPECIALLY in bios before results.
casjf – may be a good long term bet, may be a bad idea to bet against it. But in my experience many bios sell off after good results. And this is just 2nd phase. Most fail on 3rd… Posted 1 week ago
casjf — guanito – hey, don’t beat yourself up! I can’t count how many times I WISH I had taken profits and didn’t. And this may be one of them for all we know ;) Posted 1 week ago
casjf — fennecby – good advice. Thanks! Posted 1 week ago
guanito — ++ Posted 6 days ago
kit650kr — Thanks ROD Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — TRTC — Now testing .116, the next higher objective above .10, and potentially the highest objective since the low was not fully formed before bouncing. Posted 6 days ago
guanito — tku Posted 6 days ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — CARA – with closing close to the 18.99 range does that portend it needs to go lower yet? Posted 6 days ago
Jo B — just catching up. thank u Rod. Can u please assess SRNA when u get a chance. does this look like a dead cat bounce or the start of a good rally? Posted 6 days ago
guanito — Good morning all – Rod – looking at bonds – BAB as an etf – thoughts please? or is that the other service again? Tks. Posted 6 days ago
guanito — Tony – looking for CARA to fill the gap somewhat. imo Posted 6 days ago
Jo B — also assess Amazon please. they surpassed Walmart in sales I hear Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — CARA — Without closing today above 21.15, a pullback has potential to 16 before resuming the rally. Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — SRNA – A lot of resistance at .105-.107, and the consolidation since testing it should be ready to resume the rally… if the rally is going to resume. Dipping back under .075 would undermine that recovery potential. Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — BAB — Yes, that coverage is already included in the market timing service. I’ll say that its most recent signal just rode the last 4 points of the 30-year treasury move in just over one week (hopefully justifying its cost), and that this has fulfilled the rally’s minimum objective. That’s not necessarily bearish, but further upside is awaiting a new signal. Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — AMZN — Indicated up sharply to test 579, where there is significant amount of buying pressure satisfied. Closing under 559 would signal that new buyers are not being attracted. Posted 6 days ago
Jo B — awesome livestox Rod. ty Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — ;) Posted 6 days ago
guanito — tku Posted 6 days ago
Brett-ster — Hi Rod, BIIB support? Posted 6 days ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — You’re looking to buy the dip on biib too I see Posted 6 days ago
Brett-ster — Already did at 319 Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — BIIB – Support is 302-320, but my preference would be to buy a close above 349 resistance Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — BIIB — Having extended down intraday to fresh lows testing 304.35, be very careful holding long any close not yet recovering back above 313.65, and preferably above 319.50… Meanwhile, closing around 302-304 or lower could extend down Monday to test 262 Posted 5 days ago
casjf — BIIB – Thanks, Rod, just sold: better safe than sorry. How did you know I was bottom-fishing against your better guidance :) Posted 5 days ago
Scotty B — New stock for all to feast upon. NVMI. Looks like a durable bottom formed in December. Nice gradual raise with recent pull back. Prior $12 high seem to have held, but maybe a few more days will tell. Overall looks strong. I have no position, but thinking about one. Thoughts on resistance and trend? Thanks. Posted 3 days ago
Rod-David — NVMI — Head & Shoulders top began forming in June, and has been breaking down toward its 11.55-11.75 target area. That must hold to avoid extending lower to 11. Posted 3 days ago
fennecby — Scotty – note about NVMI that it’s a fantastic company LT. Do some DD over at Seeking Alpha, there was an interesting article published there not long ago (though I’ve been holding it for years now). Posted 3 days ago
Scotty B — NVMI – Thanks for the input and parameters. I will watch it closely. Rod: thoughts on SPWR? I am also looking a SPWR, as well as the recently IPO’d CAFD. SPWR is in a solid down trend, but seems to be approaching and holding important support at $25. They have large projects in China that I think will be unaffected by the economy. If 25 range holds today I may pick some up. CAFD is a falling knife, but watching for a bottom to form. Is anyone else watching these two? Posted 3 days ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — This is a really ugly open, folks. If the first half-hour hasn’t reversed direction, and if noon isn’t already at least threatening to turn positive, then it’s probably because a much more substantial decline is underway. Posted 3 days ago
Rod-David — SPWR — While 25 is a prior low whose test produced a significant upleg, the question to ask at this stage is why is it being retested. The question might be irrelevant If the objective is only a trade, looking for an “obligatory” bounce because of the previous reaction there, but that also assumes selling into near-term strength. That’s possible even in the most bearish eventual scenario. But the potential for this being an ultimate bottom is not as likely. Posted 3 days ago
Scotty B — SPWR: Thanks, took a position at 24.6 this morning. I will watch for strength/weakness. Recent scuttle butt among analysts seem to indicate now is the time to accumulate. Rod, your insights are always helpful for understanding the trends! Posted 3 days ago
Scotty B — LINE: Care to comment on this favorite hated stock? Volume indicated to me that the sellers are tired this morning. I have traded this one several times on the bounce and took a position this morning at $5.70. I am not sure how to project an ultimate low from it’s chart. If you have time could you look at LINE’s trend with a potential bottoming target? Thanks Posted 3 days ago
Rod David — LINE — This is in a serious downtrend, and while it might try bottoming soon, launching a rally will be much more difficult. Meanwhile, the next significant support is at 4.63 Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — LINE: Thanks for the input! In and out today, will watch the trend. I was thinking it was headed to the 4’s. Posted 2 days ago
Rod-David — INSY — The reaction to holding its resistance test last week has gapped down this morning to 42.50 and plunged to 38.85. I said it had peaked, but this is more aggressive than mandated at this stage of the pattern. Closing back above 40.40 would at least suggest an attack on the highs is coming. Posted 3 days ago
guanito — tku Posted 3 days ago
casjf — KMI – Up today despite the market. A one-day wonder? Is this recovery too soon since it didn’t yet touch 32.85? Will watch to see if it gets above 36.76 per your previous advice before buying unless you say otherwise… Posted 2 days ago
Rod David — KMI — Strong resistance above at 35.50-35.70. Closing above it would start to suggest at least a test of 36.75, but not necessarily reversing the trend up. And while there’s potential to bounce from 32.85 because it will have satisfied a degree of selling pressure, there’s no requirement for that to be a bottom. Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — Broader market starting to look a little nasty on the downside. I have been waiting to jump in SPXS or DVD. Will you be providing an update after close? I personally would like to see the weakness continue. Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — Whoops, DXD, not DVD Posted 2 days ago
Rod-David — DVD — Die Hard, Titanic… The market is right on the cusp between the two. The past several months have been forming a massive top, so it’s just a matter of time before a more significant downleg begins. But the Chinese stock market plunge might not be the iceberg it’s being scapegoated as, so yet another rally leg remains possible. Either way, this current area being tested today is pretty much the line in the sand between them. Posted 2 days ago
Josey — Thank you Rod / Posted 2 days ago
fennecby — hey Rod. Sold half of TEVA this morning (1st target reached and breached). What’s the likelihood that it exceeds the higher of your 2 targets @75.30? Tremendous volume today on what I believe is and all time high. Posted 2 days ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Rod how’s AWGI looking? Forming a flag? Need to dip further? Posted 2 days ago
Rod David — TEVA — A second consecutive higher close Tuesday would confirm the 75.30 target remains intact. Otherwise, a pullback to 63.65-63.90 would be likely Posted 2 days ago
Rod David — AWGI — Not yet enough complexity to the current hesitation for it to be considered a pattern. But volume patterns continue to be bullish. Posted 2 days ago
fennecby — thanks Rod. Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — Good morning – I hope…. CAFD produced a bounce yesterday off a low on reasonable volume. The catalyst was decent acquisition news. Do I need to look for 2 or three consecutive higher highs with decent volume to confirm a rally has begun, or should I wait for a re-test of the low to make sure a bottom is in? This company is also tied to SPWR (still holding that from yesterday’s purchase) which shared in the good news. Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — Here is a new one for the community to feast upon: ISLE. Chart looks strong and recent pullback could represent a buying opportunity. A brief review of fundamentals looked pretty appealing. Rod, would you agree the trend is your friend on this one and weakness is an opportunity for accumulation? Disclosure: I do not own any shares at this time. Posted 2 days ago
fennecby — ISLE looks toppy to me… (disclosure: anti casinos). Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — fennecby: I can respect that disclosure. Posted 2 days ago
fennecby — (-:
to my shame I bought some PLUS500 shares (CFDs – same difference) a while ago, despite having qualms about it. Then I got duly punished.
http://www.4-traders.com/PLUS500-LTD-13705514/c… Posted 2 days ago — “Edited”
fennecby — Rod – how’s MZOR looking to you? I’ve asked about it in the past but can’t find your previous answers (try it; searching pulls up every occurrence of the word “more”). Posted 2 days ago
Brett-ster — Rod, KORS continues to tank. Where do you see support? Posted 2 days ago
Rod David — ISLE — The uptrend is intact until breaking back under a prior low. Meanwhile, the last upleg (May’s surge) has been retraced 61.8% and consolidated. However, this current pullback testing 17.75 needs to resolve up quickly and resume the rally to avoid gaining traction for a deeper correction probing under 15 Posted 2 days ago
Rod David — KORS — There’s some calculable support near 37.50 that could bounce to 42.50 before failing. But this is a pretty ugly downtrend that probably isn’t going to reverse up without first basing for awhile. Posted 2 days ago
Brett-ster — Thanks Posted 2 days ago
Scotty B — ISLE: Thanks! Posted 2 days ago
kit650kr — YO ROD! IDTI, is that a head and shoulders formed from a few months back? can u plz set new parameters ? Thanks BOSS Posted 2 days ago
Rod-David — IDTI – The symmetry is challenging for qualifying as a Head & Shoulders. Still, 19.19-20.35 is significant support which is being retested after already reacting up from testing it recently. Breaking under the 18.90 low of its retest would signal a new downleg underway Posted 2 days ago
fennecby — Hey Rod – please see above my question on MZOR? Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — TRTC — .136 was likely to be the highest objective for reacting up from the attack on .077, and it is being tested today. Closing above .134 would suggest more follow-through. Otherwise, at least a correction should begin soon, and potentially a resumption of the decline. Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — MZOR – My chart of it doesn’t have any notes, so this might be the first time reviewing it… Volume patterns aren’t impressive. Breaking through 14.80 resistance could target 18.75 and 21.25. Otherwise, back under 12 would target a retest of the lows Posted Yesterday
fennecby — thanks. I believe most trading in MZOR is done in Israel; do the volume patterns there seem to you as unimpressive?
http://www.4-traders.com/MAZOR-ROBOTICS-LTD-795… Posted Yesterday
casjf — KMI – Am mindful of what you said yesterday, but it just blew thru 35.70 — day/swing traders all? What would be a buy signal – closing above 36.75 for 2 days in a row? Posted Yesterday
casjf — SZYM – finally up on vol on news but ER is at 8am tomorrow. Buy tomorrow if it continues to go up after a positive ER? Check back in tomorrow? Posted Yesterday
casjf — SZYM -Actually, ER isn’t until after market close Thursday. Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — KMI — I don’t see today’s action as being so bullish as to override the 36.75 signal Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — SZYM — Up today, from a fresh low, in an ongoing series of lower lows. This is not greeting earnings from a position of strength Posted Yesterday
Scotty B — TWTR, ok – picked up a few this morning at $34.20. I feel like a genius. However, these feelings can quickly turn into dismay. Anyway, anticipation of news is sending shares up. Technically looks like consolidation is over and selling pressure satisfied? I guess we will find out in a few minutes. Regardless of the outcome, I would like comments from the chart once the earnings are released. Thanks!! Posted Yesterday
fennecby — TRTC – entered @0.09, exited @0.14. Thanks Rod. Posted Yesterday
fennecby — WYY – is this developing into a short term H&S, and if so, what’s the target underneath? Posted Yesterday
fennecby — MSRT – due for a bounce or not yet? Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — TWTR — Big resistance back up to 36.50-36.75, being tested now. Bigger support at this stage at 35.70. Closing under 35.70 would make 36.50-36.75 difficult to recover without first visiting 34.50, or lower. Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — WYY — Not a Head & Shoulders, but pretty important that 1.95 hold as support and that this uptrend not hesitate long before extending higher. Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — MSRT — Looks more like the decline is just getting started. I would want to look at it again from above 1.15 Posted Yesterday
fennecby — got it X2. Posted Yesterday
Scotty B — TWTR: Thanks, looks like my entry should be safe. I will watch, hold, and add on confirmed strength. Posted Yesterday
Scotty B — ISLE; staying away for now – not enough liquidity. Posted Yesterday
Scotty B — Rod saves day again! Saw TWTR collapsing through 36.5 and sold in after hours. Dismay for many I am sure. Posted Yesterday — “Edited”
Rod-David — ;) Posted Yesterday
fennecby — so what’s up above on TRTC? Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — TRTC — Next higher resistance at .184 being tested this morning. Reactions down have room to .144 while maintaining potential for extending higher to .266. Closing under .144 would signal the rally had ended. Posted Yesterday
casjf — TWTR — too early to suggest support? Still buy in above 36.75? Posted Yesterday
Josey — Hi Rod, is the story over on GIMO or is it trying to fill the gap, buying opportunity? TY Posted Yesterday — “Edited”
Josey — Looks like VDSI has been taken out behind the woodshed. Posted Yesterday
Josey — CANV has almost doubled of the lows and ECIG currently has finally crossed .37 Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — TWTR — The parameters listed before yesterday’s close still apply… And it looks very likely that its support will not be recovered, probably launching a new downleg. Posted Yesterday
casjf — SZYM – Appears to be digging itself out of its hole — up over 16% at the moment. Headed for the 50 SMA for the second time today. Guidance? Posted Yesterday
guanito — AWGI broken? Or still developing? Tku Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — GIMO — A lot of resistance around 33.75 where the rally peaked, and a lot of support 25.55-26.40 being tested now. No need to fill the gap if 30 is recovered first Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — SZYM — Closing above 3.15 would be a reason to suspect a more substantial rally is underway without any backing-and-filling to form a more stable bottom Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — AWGI — This dip could test .05 and still only a temporary correction. Closing any deeper that that would make .04 likely Posted Yesterday
guanito — Tku Posted 22 hours ago
Rod-David — Only one double-digit gainer (TRTC) among ~50 that I allow on my quote page. More than 35 are not even positive. We’ll look a lot more closely during tomorrow’s Livestox. Posted 20 hours ago
fennecby — say, is DDD ever going to bottom? Or is it going to zero?
(one would think it was a pot stock… and I have noted in the past the similarity between the sectors.) Posted 2 hours ago — “Edited”
casjf — AAPL – Didn’t you say below 122.25 it was going down? Support? Posted 2 hours ago
Boston — GTLS…falling knife? Where do we want to try and catch this? Posted 2 hours ago
Rod-David — DDD – Failing to recover what was the 33.25 prior highs in April was a missed opportunity to turn around the decline. This leg should test 13.30, but there’s no requirement to hold it. Posted 2 hours ago
Rod-David — AAPL — 122.25 is support until broken lower through the close. There’s room for noise below it down to 121.15, meaning that bottom fishing 122.25’s test anticipating it to hold should be reconsidered under 121.15 Posted an hour ago
Rod-David — GTLS — Some potential for 27.90 to launch a bounce back up to 31.75. But that’s only as a reaction, and probably not part of a sustained reversal Posted an hour ago

Jo B — hi Rod, can u add KAYS to the Universe please? someone very smart has brought this to light. it’s based in Oregon which is going rec in Oct. 1 Posted an hour ago — “Edited”

Tony 48.75VAPEs — Rod. MBHC – see anything of interest after the June and July run ups on big volume? Both run ups had corrections who’s lows were higher than the previous lows. Most recent run up corrected by 78.6 and is now going up again. Posted 21 minutes ago
Rod-David — KAYS — I’ll add it to the Universe, thank you! Posted 4 minutes ago
Rod-David — MBHC — Back above .009 should be accompanied by expanding volume to confirm fresh highs in play at .013. Meanwhile, pullbacks need to hold .004 Posted 43 seconds ago

The Universe, week of Jul 27 2015… That was only bathwater.

Note: I publish “The Universe” every weekend, updating my support and resistance calculations for Marijuana sector stocks. It is not a projection, but a handy reference… Non-Marijuana stocks are covered elsewhere during the week.]

There was a new low this week in the percentages of Cannabis stocks above their rolling 4-week moving averages. There was almost as many issues testing and overlapping supports as I have seen in any single week. By these metrics, it was a bad week for the sector…

…as a whole. But four interesting stories reveal that the sector continues to be diverse.

  • TRTC, which has been targeting .09 since it was almost three times higher. It attacked its room for noise down to .077, and surged to attack .12.
  • CARA, which became a double at this week”s high, from the last spot it we began considering its pullback as having ended and a new rally leg being underway.
  • INSY, which extended to probe its next higher resistance at 43.50, without closing above it. The last similar setup launched a 15% pullback.
  • And, of course, there”s GWPH. The ongoing topping pattern may finally be rolling over for its first meaningful correction in awhile. Confirmation is still needed.

Our strategy of focusing on individual setups instead of blanket holdings has made a lot of sense and protected a lot of dollars. And think twice about buying any stock in a downtrend (ongoing series of lower lows and lower lower highs) that hasn”t yet exhibited some sort of accumulation. Remember: New lows are not a buy signal! Just be sure not to become too attached to any single issue — not, yet.

Here”s this week”s levels:

Saturday Review’s recording (for 7/25/15) … Is it, or isn’t it?

Will last week”s drop hold the measurements of a pullback, or add another downleg? This are but two of two major questions we addressed during this weekend”s Saturday Review. That”s right. There really aren”t any other major questions at this stage. Enjoy!

Following is the review”s accompanying chat:

07/25/2015 09:51:48 David B: closing under 2099.25 on being a friday would would be talking about a different pattern say if it was a second consective close on a thursday?
07/25/2015 09:52:42 David B: what i”m saying is a second consective close less revelant on a friday?
07/25/2015 10:01:36 Mark Glezer: don”t lower prior highs normally produce a bounce of significance ?
07/25/2015 10:02:09 David B: yes
07/25/2015 10:03:13 David B: what close would tell us new highs are off the table?
07/25/2015 10:06:49 David B: is that considered trend change?
07/25/2015 10:09:49 Mark Glezer: a trend change would be big meaning it would be defended against?
