Welcome to Open”s Interest for Friday…

We lost two positions Thursday, ATTBF and EDXC. Each had been flucutating at or around support. We”ve discussed for at least two weeks the risk to ATTBF not holding .88, and Thursday”s action made its break likely. EDXC has been threatening to break under .145, and despite bouncing to .16 this week, it dropped to a fresh low. 

As usual my action triggered similar actions that pushed price even lower. The morning”s Livedesk discussion about the prior day”s ZDPY trades suggested managing the exit instead of jumping out full force. That cuts both ways, with entries, too.

The sector”s ongoing low volume has been a big, big problem. Low volume does not equal steady price. I”m surprised GWPH”s higher-profile has not attracted sponsorship, and wonder whether a sector-wide reverse:split wouldn”t be just what the doctor ordered to attract new blood.

A couple of very healthy and impressive discussions took place among subscribers on the Thursday”s more recent threads. Basically, I will be providing opinion and actionable parameters for stocks… outside of the marijuana sector. We”ll still cover every single marijuana stock and I”ll review any marijuana stock you need at any time. First. Before non-marijuana stocks. But we”ll add others for awhile.

Open”s Interest is the daily pre-open reference for marijuana stock patterns currently of interest, including other insights and overviews.

Taking some ugly hits today as the sector is overwhelmingly red, at a spot where the past month”s medicine should have cleared up most of that redness. Every day within the range has had the potential to be a bottom, needing only the next day(s) to start trending up en masse over multiple sessions. Breaking under prior lows today might prove to be a false break, but we”ll be watching that with even less than the 5-7% of the portfolio that was exposed.

Welcome to Open”s Interest for Thursday…

We”ll be moving this weekly update of the marijuana stock sector universe to being published after Thursday”s close for Friday. I want to continue taking time on those that have interesting patterns or other price action which is educational. And until liquidity returns to a consistent level, Fridays will be the least attractive day to attempt a trade, so introducing new parameters for Friday can be counter-productive.

Following is the first half of the universe (bolded in dark green), with the second half coming Thursday evening. There are a couple of asterisks beside issues I want to get active in, BRDT and INSY. Other issues of interest that I discussed in Wednesday”s Livedesk are in the second half of the alphabet: MWIP, NVLX, SING and VPOR.
