Econ Calendar – Page 215 – If, Then… Market Timing

Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar – for Thu Apr 1 2015

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights:

It”s payrolls week, and this is Wednesday, which means ADP. The controversial report is nonetheless influential. I would normally say that it gives us some advance indication of Friday”s reaction, except the market is essentially closed then. The post-open ISM number is the most relevant of the day”s other reports.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: A lot of Fed speakers are appearing Tuesday at different venues. And a couple of high-profile influential econ reports are scheduled. The post-open PMI report can trigger a reaction when it is released early to its institutional subscribers, and that reaction tends to extend when the data is released publicly.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights:

GDP has less influence on price action that might be assumed. I don”t have precise timing on the Fed speaker schedule. But the post-open Consumer Sentiment should have an effect, especially if it is inflationary.
