Econ Calendar
Look ahead: Economic Calendar – for Thu Feb 5 2015
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Thursday”s Jobless Claims hasn”t been very influential for awhile, but always has a higher-profile during NFP week. Challenger”s report for some reason has little effect. Meanwhile, the BOE”s monthly policy statement tends not to influence price action. That migh change now that it won”t share its spotlight with ECB which has gone to a 6-week schedule.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar – for Wed Feb 4 2015
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: This is NFP week, so other jobs reports being released help to shape up the reaction we might expect Friday. Wednesday”s pre-open ADP report is controversial, but happens to correlate well to Friday”s data. And it has a reliable track record for influencing price action. The post-open ISM report is also influential.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights:
Friday”s econ calendar has three influential reports. One of the more
influential is also one of the lower-profile, the Chicago PMI. Its
influence is often noticed several minutes early when the data is released
to institutional subscribers. And that reaction tends to extend when it is
released publicly.
