Econ Calendar – Page 253 – If, Then… Market Timing

Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Tuesday’s econ reports are not high-profile, and not influential without being very surprising. But the afternoon’s two Fed speakers are more than doubly influential to price action, threatening to shake-up what could otherwise be a range-bound afternoon.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: July 3rd fireworks, too? A very unusual day ends an unusual week. A three-day weekend is already impacting liquidity. BOE and ECB announcements precede the ECB press conference. The monthly Employment Situation report is released before the first Friday instead of being delayed as is often the case. The NFP is released simultaneously with weekly Claims, followed by two other high-profile if not also influential reports follow post-open reports. Oh, and the session itself closes early. Globex re-opens normally Thursday at 6:00pm ET.

Highlights: The next day’s monthly jobs report won’t make Chairman Yellen’s utterances any more influential, but they’ll add a new dimension nonetheless. Challenger’s and ADP’s reports are released the same day since the week is holiday-shortened.
