Econ Calendar – Page 266 – If, Then… Market Timing

Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: The week after Friday’s Employment Situation report is beginning without other reports. But the morning is book-ended by two Fed speakers.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: It isn’t always the day’s only report, but this time it is, again. March’s NFP will trigger what is usually the month’s biggest reaction. Its disposition ahead of the open will likely already define the session’s tenor.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: A lot of datums flowing Thursday morning, so much that it can’t all be relevant. And it’s not. But some of it is, and the other info might dilute it. Several more jobs picture snapshots are released before Friday’s Employment Situation report. The post-open ISM report has a track record of influencing price. But that’s it, and the afternoon would be vulnerable to narrow ranging ahead of the following morning’s big data.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Leading up to the month’s biggest report at the week’s end, private sector jobs metrics looking to share the spotlight also offer opportunities to refine estimates. More important to our purposes, reactions to their reports offer opportunities to anticipate the reaction to Friday’s report. Fed speak during the noon hour might get a reaction, if only for coming during the otherwise quite window.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: The usual weekly retail metrics aside, Tuesday’s post-open reports shift the focus away from consumers. The stream is constant throughout the morning, but only ISM has a track record of influencing price action.
