Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Participation will begin thinning Wednesday afternoon as some traders leave early for the Rosh Hashanah holiday that begins at sunset. Many will continue their absence through Thursday, reducing its liquidity. Meanwhile, Thursday’s jobs reports offer the last chance to tweak estimates and positions ahead of Friday’s monthly Employment Situation report. The BOE and ECB policy statements can be influential, but the post-open ISM report usually is.
