Econ Calendar – Page 403 – If, Then… Market Timing

Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: I don’t normally monitor for Fed Governor speeches. But Friday’s calendar has nothing else on it, so there will be more focus on the two speeches scheduled.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Thursday’s calendar is more than busy. It’s weighty. Two high-profile reports are due simultaneously pre-open. And three high-profile reports are due simultaneously post-open. Often, pre-open reports can set the tone for later reports, and the market might act that way through the open. But the volume of post-open reports could easily blind side those expectations.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: PPI tends to influence price action initially, and set the tone for other reports due. But no other such reports are due after Wednesday’s open, so its initial reaction may extend through the morning if maintained into the open.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Tuesday’s pre-open Housing Starts has a track record of influencing price action. Although the rest of the day is busy, nothing scheduled is high-profile.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Monday’s calendar is unusually busy. Not just with items that tend not to influence price action, but with two high-profile items that do. One is post-open, which can upset initial trending. The other is pre-open, which is rare for a Monday.
