Econ Calendar
Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: GDP is high-profile, but not usually disruptive to price action. That is reserved to the post-open item. It is also high-profile, but oddly-timed. A surprising number would upset pricing quickly.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Durable Goods is more high-profile than it is influential. Jobless Claims can be much more disruptive. But after last week’s and this week’s Housing data, there shouldn’t be much of a surprise from the post-open report. Which would give a surprise that much more of an impact on price action.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: The calendar stays busy, throwing the market several more curve balls. State of the Union is Tuesday night, then another post-open Housing sector report. Things might slow down from anxiousness ahead of the afternoon’s FOMC announcement. Things might not slow down afterward.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Monday’s schedule didn’t make it obvious how busy the week gets. Tuesday’s calendar has an unusually-timed report at 9:00am, in a sector that reported many metrics last week. That, and Consumer Confidence one hour later – post-open – are all but assured to inhibit and then to disrupt price action.
