Econ Calendar
Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: The year’s last quarterly quadruple expiration sets up some interesting possibilities. Expirations that trend tend to be very productive. Expirations that don’t trend tend to be very non-volatile. I suspect the former, since the post-open econ report is high-profile.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Jobless Claims alone is all but assured to spark volatility before Thursday’s open. It is scheduled in tandem with Housing Starts, which is also high-profile. So is the post-open Philly Fed survey, so the morning’s initial trending should either accelerate or reverse sharply.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: At least four of the pre-open econ reports have potential to disrupt price action. The two at 8:30 are most likely, being high-profile and schedule in tandem. The post-open 10:00 item is every bit as influential.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: PPI pre-open is high-profile and tends to disrupt price action. It comes simultaneously with Retail Sales, which doesn’t normally surprise so look out when it does. Price action tends to become subdued for the 1-2 hours before 2:15’s FOMC meeting release.
