Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Happy Thanksgiving! All U.S. markets are closed. S&P futures resume trading at 6:00pm ET Thursday. Trading ends again on Friday at 1:15pm ET.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Wednesday’s calendar has three econ reports at 8:30, two of which are very high-profile, and one of which is re-scheduled due to Thursday’s holiday. The EIA reports come out the same day, which is also unusual. And between them is a one-two punch at 9:55 and 10:00. Their reactions could presage the 1:00 auction’s outcome, which matters most.

Highlights: Tuesday will be the busiest day of news flow in memory. We won’t see another day this busy until… Wednesday. The holiday-shortened week has forced the cramming of multiple items into a single day, several coming at a single moment. The real curve ball is thrown in the afternoon, with the FOMC Minutes.
