Econ Calendar – Page 494 – If, Then… Market Timing

Econ Calendar

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: An otherwise slow calendar for the week will wake up suddenly to a relatively steady flow of new Thursday. Only one econ report is high-profile, Jobless Claims. The 30-year auction will be very interesting, interesting and probably very influential to price action.

Highlights: This is one of the few times that snapshots of retail activity might be influential on price action, since these two don’t share the spotlight with any other reports.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Arguably the month’s most important metric is the Employment report. That’s because it impacts so many different areas on so many different levels, from market pricing to economic outlook to politics. Weakness is obvious, but too weak could incite talk of another stimulus which might affect bond pricing. Milder weakness would make a recovery seem that much nearer, and along with it a rising Dollar. A critical day, to be sure.
