A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Last week’s big Retail Sales miss may be validated or invalidated by Tuesday’s two weekly retail metrics. They don’t otherwise have much track record for influencing price action. One more pre-open report also offers a glimpse of consumer strength, albeit via a more “durable” good.
