A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Thursday’s JOLTS and New Home Sales reports were delayed during the shutdown. Only the Home Sales report has any track record of influencing price action, if only to inhibit trending ahead of the announcement. The pre-open Jobless Claims and PMI Flash are more influential.
