A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Still playing catch-up from the so-called government shut-down. You’re not seeing double — 8:30’s Housing Starts will be for both Sep and Oct data. You’re also not seeing triple, or quadruple — two other housing sector reports will be released simultaneously pre-open at 9:00 (they’re both Sep numbers). Of the three post-open 10:00 reports, only Consumer Confidence has a track record of influencing price action.
