A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Retail sales metrics are coming down to the wire for the holiday season, so Tuesday’s ICSC and Redbook numbers can be more influential to price action. Meanwhile, two housing sector data also offer a snapshot of consumer health. Both sets of reports have the added opportunity to confirm the other’s surprise, or to contradict each other. Markets close early Tuesday for Christmas eve.
