A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Tuesday night’s State of the Union doesn’t have a track record of influencing price action much. Wednesday afternoon’s FOMC announcement is much more reliable for getting a reaction, especially considering that December’s surge has been retraced entirely.
