A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Tuesday’s econ reports are influential mostly for being a near-constant barrage of data hitting the market. Two housing sector reports announced simultaneously during the Market Tour could impact price action if they conflict with each other, or if both contradict the sector’s pessimistic trend. The post-ope Consumer Confidence has a track record of inhibiting and inciting volatility into and out of its report — the morning’s two retail sector reports might set the stage.
