Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Friday’s pre-open GDP is high-profile, but tends not to be influential. The two post-open reports are reliable for impacting price action. A surprising Chicago PMI number will be influential before its public release, since its private institutional subscribers have lead time to react early — and that early noticeable reaction, if there is one, is usually extended. Consumer Sentiment influences price action, too. A hawkish Fed Governor speaks shortly after the reports.
