A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Jobless Claims used to be fairly reliable for triggering a price reaction, but now that is more sporadic. Meanwhile, Philly Fed is the only regional survey with a track record of influencing price action. The bond market’s early close and an impending three-day weekend usually leads to a slow environment.
