A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Was incoming Cleveland Fed Pres Mester interpreted as more hawkish or dovish Thursday? She speaks again Friday, between two Fed hawks. Meanwhile, the post-open Chicago PMI is always interesting, with its surprises telegraphed in the market as its institutional subscribers react to the number’s early release. It’s followed by Consumer Sentiment, which is also very influential.
