Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Tuesday’s focus is on financials, perhaps the least of which is the JPM and GS pre-open earnings. Following testimony Monday by the ECB’s Draghi, the BOE’s Carney makes a similar appearance at Parliament. The BOJ announces its monetary policy decision. But the most impact will be had by FOMC Chair Yellen, who testifies to the Senate portion of her semi-annual monetary policy report. Look for a volatility spike when her opening remarks will be embargoed at 10:00 ET. I’m not sure how much volatility will get crushed ahead of the post-close earnings from INTC and YHOO.
