A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Thursday morning’s econ reports are high-profile, and influential. So are the pre-open earnings. Even the post-open Philly Fed survey is relevant, being the only Fed survey with a track record of influencing price action. The afternoon is likely to be gripped by anxiousness ahead of the post-close results from IBM and GOOG.
