Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: The only econ report scheduled Monday has no track record for influencing price action. That gives earnings news more spotlight to be shined on them in case of surprises. The post-close announcements include several high-profile stocks that Fed Chair Yellen all but called out by name when lowering her rating on momentum stocks to “sell.”  Perhaps they’ve been sufficiently discounted to allow a positive reaction to almost any earnings news.
