Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

The econ reports come out steadily throughout the day. Jobless Claims is already a magnet for volatility. Then the Philly Fed Survey comes 30 minutes after the open, timing that tends often either to accelerate or to reverse any initial trending underway. The afternoon’s Housing Market Index is unusual timing for a mid-week report, more associated with Mondays, which could upset the market flow.
