Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

The morning’s econ reports aren’t high-profile. The afternoon’s events can be more influential. FOMC interest rate announcements have become more significant for their statements than for their actual decision. The note auction can be hit or miss, as in the market could take a hit if the auction misses. A successful auction won’t have much impact unless a pullback before it had already discounted a poor outcome.
