LEI is a high-profile econ report. The timing of its release, 30 minutes after the cash session open, tends either to accelerate or to reverse any initial trending underway. The afternoon’s auction might inhibit volatility before-hand, but the short maturities typically go off smoothly enough to prevent ripples.
