Highlights: The usual weekly retail snapshots get some interesting company today from the PPI. This market has been doing better with news than without it, absorbing the occasional unfavorable item. But be aware of the potential for a double whammy for bad news on both the consumer and producer – that would qualify as “man bites dog.”
