A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Friday’s Consumer Sentiment is the week’s first high-profile post-open report. And it comes 5 minutes before the top of the hour. These elements only increase its potential for disrupting any initial trending attempt – whether to accelerate it or to reverse it. Now add that two other reports have been moved to today due to weather… Look for afternoon volume (and liquidity) to taper off more so than usual ahead of the three-day holiday weekend.
