A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Friday’s pre-open report doesn’t tend to influence price action substantially, not unless it surprises. Otherwise, there isn’t much anticipation ahead of the number. However, the post-open item is high-profile. And it’s in a sector that has reported all sorts of metrics all week, so it is sure to surprise some forecasters.
