Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: A lot of short-term paper will be auctioned Tuesday afternoon. First, there is the morning’s heavy calendar. Having a 2-month lag, the HPI is essentially old news, so any knee-jerk reaction is likely to be brief. A reaction is likely since its 9:00am timing is unusual. Then a trio of 10:00am items will inhibit price action prior to their release, and probably disrupt initial trending in their wake.
