Highlights: Thursday’s busy calendar reflects the potholes and obstacles to setting a trend intraday. Three simultaneous pre-open high-profile items, are followed by three almost simultaneous post-open high-profile items. Often, the ultimate resolution to pre-open items is repeated for post-open items, but there are too many data points here to rely on that.
