A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: Wednesday’s calendar contains several influential items. The pre-open Empire Survey and post-open Housing Index could be followed by a lull ahead of the afternoon’s FOMC Minutes. A reaction to the Minutes may depend upon how revealing they are of the contradiction between the alleged economic recovery and extending ZIRP.
