A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Thursday’s Jobless Claims is very high-profile, and is usually reliable for enhancing price action. The European Central Bank’s interest rate decision will already have markets jumpy.

Also scheduled today is voting by the FASB board on FAS 157, the so-called “mark-to-market” accounting standard.
