A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

The option expiration day’s only scheduled report is due during the cash session’s first half-hour, timing that often tends either to reverse or to accelerate trending already underway. Fridays can become like watching paint dry, but Bernanke’s lunch hour comments might keep the excitement alive. Yes, I did just use the words “Bernanke” and “excitement” in the same sentence.
