Look ahead: Economic Calendar – If, Then… Market Timing

Look ahead: Economic Calendar

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.

Highlights: The week’s calendar has had nothing with a track record of influencing price action. That changes Thursday, from beginning to end. Two high-profile pre-open items are announced in tandem at 8:30, making their impact greater. The afternoon’s 30-year auction result is never assured. And the FOMC policy statement is always a wild card, more so each quarter when followed by Bernanke’s press conference.
