When is a bias-up not a bias-up? – If, Then… Market Timing

When is a bias-up not a bias-up?

When it is invalidated.

[pay]This afternoon’s 1325.75 bias-up signal triggered at 1:20. In the Chartroom I warned that it was suspicious. The entire noon hour had ranged narrowly back to 1325.75 as support.

In fact, a slide to 1323.75 through 1:30 has invalidated the bias-up. This is not a no-bias environment. Rather, there is not a bias influence.

The 1319.25 bias-down signal would be expected to hold if tested. But it does not require a test. I would expect 1322.50-1323.00 to hold. If tested. With no requirement to be tested.

Unless the bias environment were exited bearishly, I still won’t have a sell signal.
