Econ Calendar
Look ahead: Economic Calendar – for Tue Nov 18, 2014
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights:
Two high-profile reports scheduled Tuesday morning will likely influence price action. I”ve noted more so the PPI, although being pre-open does make its ripples shorter-lived. The post-open Housing sector report can be longer-lived, but it is not as influential.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Monday”s pre-open reports have little track record of influencing price action. But they are coming first thing after the weekend, which can create some surprise, and also leverage any out of range numbers.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Retail Sales rarely triggers a reaction, but then triggers enormous reactions when it misses expectations by enough. That could happen again with the consumer”s perspective having become relevant. Post-open consumer sentiment is similarly relevant, but more reliably influential.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar – for Thu Nov 13 2014
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: A lot of Treasury debt has been auctioned recently. Thursday brings the most tentative, which is the 30-year. Noon hour price action should be tentative, too, followed by a relief rally if the deal goes off without a hitch. Potential hitches: Two Fed speakers and the JOLTS (jobs opening) report. The latter post-open JOLTS report has become more influential than pre-open Jobless Claims.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Wednesday”s calendar is packed, but none of it has a track record of influencing price action. Although, that is an awful lot of bond sales. Just saying.
