Highlights: Markets remain open during Monday’s Veteran’s Day holiday. Banks are closed, as is the spot government bond market, but all futures trade normally.
Markets Open, Banks Closed
Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Friday’s Employment Situation will be somewhat different from others for being delayed one week. More so, because the ADP and other private sector reports that offer glimpses into the market’s mood were all released the prior week. The post-open report tends to influence price action, but will likely only exaggerate any pre-open trending that persisted through the open.

A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: European interest rate announcements greet Thursday, including the reliable market-moving comments from Mario Draghi. GDP is mostly high-profile, but does have a track record of influencing price action. The dovish FOMC committee member speaking pre-open might be influential if prices are weakening. Bloomberg is irrelevant.

Highlights: Tuesday’s post-open ISM report is by far the session’s most influential to price action. The noon hour’s FOMC committee member speaker is a hawk, so the market might weaken in anticipation of his comments.
