Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: It is extremely, extremely rare for the Employment Situation report to be accompanied by more than one other item. Friday’s is followed by four. Two or three are high-profile with a track record of influencing price action. Should be fun.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: At least two reports will impact Thursday morning’s price action. Jobless Claims is influential normally, but carries extra weight this week ahead of the Employment Situation report. Chicago PMI also tends to influence price action — more interestingly, its pre-release to subscribers can influence price action early in case of a surprise. Afternoon price action could become subdued, paralyzed by anxiousness ahead of Friday morning’s report.

Highlights: Several looks at employment ahead of Friday’s report begin with Wednesday’s ADP, which is reliable for a reaction. The afternoon’s FOMC policy announcement is even likelier to incite extreme volatility.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Tuesday’s pre-open econ reports can be volatile since the holiday season reporting has ended. The housing sector report can be volatile since the past week’s data has also been extreme. The post-open Consumer Confidence is still the highest profile report among them, and most likely either to reverse initial trending or to accelerate it.
