Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Releasing the CPI and Consumer Sentiment numbers on the same day is rare. Whether or not surprising, the CPI relative to estimates could setup a reaction to Consumer Sentiment. Meanwhile, Consumer Sentiment comes post-open and 5 minutes before the top of the hour, both as usual, and as usual likely to influence price action.

Look ahead: Economic Calendar
A midday look ahead in preparation for economic reports and events scheduled for the next trading day.
Highlights: Retail Sales surprises are few and far between. That nonchalance caught up to the market with last month’s Retail Sales report. Estimates might already discount the negative potential, so it’s difficult for this report to surprise to the downside. But then comes post-open news at 10:00, a 30-year bond auction normally held on Thursdays, and FOMC Minutes after that.
