The Universe, week of Jan 18, 2016… – If, Then… Market Timing

The Universe, week of Jan 18, 2016…

[Note: I publish “The Universe” every weekend, updating my support and resistance calculations for Marijuana sector stocks. It is not a projection, but a handy reference… Non-Marijuana stocks are covered elsewhere during the week.]

[Next week’s issue won’t be published until Monday evening, Jan 18]

The broader market’s very bad, no good, horrible, terrible week is taking a toll on the Cannabis sector. And it’s not.

The toll being taken is that the percentage of stocks in rising patterns has shrunk to 5%. Meanwhile, that tally reflects several stocks coming on to the list that are replacing those dropping off.

One week does not a trend make. But the following stocks are either new to the potentially bullish list, or improving their previously potentially bullish situation: EAPH, GBLX, ITNS, GRNH, MINE, SRNA.

Notice, the “potentially” bullish reference. They have yet to confirm, or have only traced out possible bottoming patterns.

CARA – I know you said it needed to hold 14.15-14.50 or it would go to 13. What is support below 13? Thanks!

    • Rod David on January 11, 2016 - 1:04 pm at 1:04 pm

CARA — 11.45 would be the next support under 13, but not necessarily a bottom

    Thanks, Rod!

TRTC: the obvious question – what will make it a buy?

    • Rod David on January 13, 2016 - 4:44 am at 4:44 am

TRTC — Closing above .11 would target .13 and possibly .14. Volume’s pattern is compelling, but the price pattern preceding this recent surge was not accumulative.

      • fennecby on January 13, 2016 - 7:52 am at 7:52 am

        thanks.
If looking to build a long term position then, would you start nibbling only above .11, or wait for the stock to form a stronger base first?

        • Rod David on January 13, 2016 - 9:23 am at 9:23 am

TRTC — Not being the product of basing, this surge doesn’t offer any long-term objectives. But that’s a separate matter from building a long-term position. That strategy almost always includes taking an initial position, and then letting further price behavior earn add-ons.

            got it. thanks.

CDZI and PRMW: support & reistance

    • Rod David on January 13, 2016 - 1:58 pm at 1:58 pm

      CDZI — 5.95-6.35 resistance, then 8.95. Support at 4.75

PRMW — 8.35 support, 9.35 resistance (which should explode higher when probed if the pattern is at all bullish, otherwise probing higher without surging would be suspicious)

Triple bottom on FEYE, what’s up time to nibble or short? TY

    • Rod David on January 13, 2016 - 11:00 pm at 11:00 pm

FEYE — I don’t see a triangle. What is the date and timestamp of its high and low?
