Livestox is delayed until tomorrow

Livestox is delayed until tomorrow at 10:45am ET. I”ll post its link in the morning. Meanwhile, please try the following to ensure that your system is compatible. This should work with ALL devices (but iPhone isn”t compatible with all browsers, but at least works with Chrome or Safari). Please report here if there is any issue. Thanks!

OXIS is overlapping .030 and

OXIS is overlapping .030 and not actually recovering it, so don”t look for a new buy today. But I would add it back on a sufficiently impressive open Wednesday. Meanwhile, CARA is probing fresh relative highs, and CNAB is threatening a third-day surge setup.

We”ll review those recent ideas and others at Wednesday”s Livestox. Look for specifics after the open. Meanwhile, following are recent Activity Feed comments that we”ll need to re-post for the search engine to index:

asjf — CLF – is there a stop you recommend? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — 4.80, just added it Posted 1 week ago
recentiy03 — Is this a short squeeze of sorts? According to TD: Short Interest (% of float 03/31/15)=48.35% … I also see it appears to be an 8-month wedge break… I”m guessing both are factors in the trade? Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — CARA — Monitoring for a pullback to 11.77 Posted 1 week ago
Miss Kitty — What is the stop loss on this trade? Sorry I see it is written above. Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Miss Kitty — Ok Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Josey — Oil on the move. Looking @ 54 next. Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — Folks — Marketfy isn”t reflecting the CLF position as open, so I”m unable to add a SL STP at 4.80. Traders know the only appropriate action to take when not able to control / access their accounts, and that is to go flat. I”ll give them a couple more minutes to figure out the issue, but after that I will exit the position while awaiting resoluition Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — Apparently, there”s a non-traditional solution for me to manage the position. Let”s give it a benefit of the doubt, and keep CARA on our radar, as well as OXIS closing back above .033 Posted 1 week ago
KiteGradient — Woo hoo, nice to see the alerts! Any thoughts on CBDS with a sub $4 position? I think the rumor is widespread and the Big Johnson presidential announcement will induce some selling. Would he amazing if he announces on the Monday holiday. Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — an alert! great.
missed it of course, busy living the life. will put a limit order.
what”s your target on it? Posted 1 week ago
Rod-David — Near-term 5.80 and 6.10 Posted 1 week ago
Rod David — What”s the thinking behind Johnson running that would induce CBDS selling? Posted 1 week ago
fennecby — and is the plan to exit then, or else…?
(that”s re CLF, not Johnson. I don”t see the reasoning behind a sell-off on such a major promotion either.) Posted 1 week ago — “Edited”
fennecby — Meanwhile, I”d be very interested in starting to initiate long term positions in 3D printing, with DDD and SSYS looking like they might be done with the selling at some point in the not-too-distant future (the former looks better, I think). So I”d appreciate it if you could put them on your radar.
ADSK as well, although that one”s never been selling really. Posted 1 week ago
KiteGradient — Re CBDS: logic being the catalyst contributing to current surge is build up to the announcement. Probably won”t be as widespread coverage as Hillary or others but Gary will get someone airtime. Seems these pops get sold earlier and earlier in this environment, ie sell the news Posted 1 week ago
Rod David — Got it… buy the rumor, sell the news. Posted 1 week ago
Miss Kitty — CARA pullback to $11.77 now in play so is that a buy at this level? Posted 6 days ago
Rod David — CARA — 11.30-11.45 pullback limit, 11.00 stop, targeting 13.80 and 14.65. Posted 6 days ago
Miss Kitty — Thanks. Posted 6 days ago
fennecby — any revised parameters on the CLF trade for those of us who missed it? better entry underneath 5.2?
(certainly not going to chase it) Posted 6 days ago
Rod David — CLF — No revisions. Higher highs would raise the stop or allow a pullback limit, which could be considered for entry. But not currently. Posted 6 days ago
fennecby — no matter, got it at 5.2. Posted 6 days ag
o B — VPOR N MINE ? any changes in ur sentiment Rod? Posted 6 days ago
Josey — Does oil need to hold 54.00 now or room down just under 53.00? Thank you! Almost looks like it will blow through 56. to may be 58?? Posted 6 days ago — “Edited”
Josey — For Livstox could you look @ VDSI and VALE parameters and for long or next higher target. Thank You! Posted 6 days ago
Boston — Hi Rod Could look at IMGN, PPCH & FEYE in Livestock for next higher targets if any? Posted 6 days ago
recentiy03 — MCP is on fire +73% after announcing a deal with Siemens, some pullback targets might be nice. There was a 25% short interest, who I imagine are being squeezed—one can only hope for such action with CLF, which has an even higher short interest at almost 50% of the float. Posted 6 days ago — “Edited”
recentiy03 — Alas, appears the defense”s motion for reclassification was denied: “Jason said…
John Balazs
?@balazslaw
Oral ruling marijuana motion to be denied, final written ruling by end of week.” Posted 6 days ago
recentiy03 — Not to rant completely off-topic, but I fail to see how the govt. can fund a study that says MJ helps cure/reduce cancer one week and then a federal judge can deny a motion for reclassification literally the next. Posted 6 days ago — “Edited”
Jo B — They suck.! Posted 6 days ago
kit650kr — “cause they can….!” Posted 6 days ago
recentiy03 — Apparently it”s just not possible for them to move their left leg and their right leg in the same direction…I wonder if the DoJ is even aware of the results of the NIDA-funded study. Posted 6 days ago
casjf — KITE – Blasted thru $63 resistance today. Next target? Posted 5 days ag
ennecby — GTLS been running well since you commented about it a month ago:
GTLS — Very attractive pattern […] Resistance isn”t the issue, so much as holding support and expanding the volume. Support was just tested around 33. Upside potential is to 46.90 and 52.85.
I don”t see volume expanding much, in which the prudent thing to do would be not to wait for the 2nd target, correct?
And where would be a good place to start long term positions in DDD / SSYS / ADSK? Posted 6 days ago
Boston — Thanks Rod! Posted 6 days ago
Rod-David — CLF — I raised the stop loss to 5.45 Posted 6 days ago
recentiy03 — Still targeting 5.8-6.1 short-term for CLF? Edit: never mind, I see you answered that earlier and said it”s the same unless there are higher highs. Posted 6 days ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — I”ll do some work on the GTLS, DDD, SSYS, ADSK charts and provide parameters tonight. Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — CLF — No other changes than raising the stop. The pattern that identified the target won”t change. Posted 5 days ago
fennecby — appreciate it. Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — The schedule 1 decision wasn”t bullish for the marijuana sector? You wouldn”t know it from stock performance. Not that it”s widely bullish, it”s just not widely bearish. This could be one of those tells that suggests prices already reflect worst case scenarios. Posted 5 days ago
fennecby — On a related (?) note – you were talking about capitulation not happening for SRNA. Well, check out NRTI. Posted 5 days ago
Jo B — thanks for Livestox Rod Posted 5 days ago
Rod David — GTLS — Next higher objective in-play is 46, then 51.75. Volume needs to keep expanding. A pullback has room to 41.85 before threatening to reverse momentum down. Posted 5 days ago
Rod David — DDD — This attempt to recover the 28.25 prior lows is almost attacking the 33.25 prior highs. Closing above that would target 37.75 and have potential to 46.50 Posted 5 days ago
Rod David — SSYS — Consolidating a gap down, no actionable parameters or outlook Posted 5 days ago
Rod David — ADSK — Uptrend of higher highs and higher lows remains intact. Back above 63 would next target 68.50 and potentially 77.65 Posted 5 days ago
casjf — KITE – sorry, posted this on the wrong thread below – what is the next resistance? And is $63 the new support? Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — KITE — Next resistance is 68, and 62.25 is now support Posted 5 days ago
fennecby — thanks X4, Rod.
how”s BLRX looking to you this morning? Huge volume for a relatively modest leap (6% currently). Posted 5 days ago — “Edited”
casjf — DATA – Support & resistance Posted 5 days ago
kit650kr — Yo Fenn, U like Chart Industries too? That”s my Dad”s play now. Posted 5 days ago
kit650kr — YO ROD, how”s it going? R we starting a new upleg with CRM? can u set resistance plz? Posted 5 days ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — DATA — Support is 99.25. Closing under 98.20 would indicate today”s surge was a false break. Next higher resistance is 108.15-108.85 Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — CRM — Looks like it”s still consolidating. Close above 69 on volume would trigger breakout Posted 5 days ago
fennecby — I got it from your query, kit (-: Posted 5 days ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Rod, PZOO put in a higher low and higher high in April than it did March. It”s also seen a big volume increase… Do you see anything in today”s pattern going from .008 to .0097 to suggest the rally has continued? I”m holding shares now and would like to sell and get in a different stock, but I”m worried I may miss out on Pzoo going higher? I”m thinking of selling Pzoo to buy CNAB or others. Thanks. Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — PZOO — I don”t see a higher high than March. The stock is currently consolidating in a range, and not trending, so there is no target in play that might answer your question. Posted 5 days ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Thanks Rod! And my apologies, I was looking at wrong version of the chart, I see March was higher. Was in a hurry this morning. Thanks again Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — ;) Posted 4 days ago
guanito — Tku. Posted 4 days ag
J – from DC — thanks Rod Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — CLF — I”ll consider buying it back if today”s close is above 5.55 Posted 5 days ago
casjf — SZYM – Glad I asked about this in Livestox yesterday. Is it best to wait till close today to get support & resistance? Also, if I wanted to buy more if it should retrace today or tomorrow, what would be a good buy-in price? Posted 5 days ago
Rod-David — SZYM — A positive close today would fulfill yesterday”s confirmation of Tuesday”s breakout. The rally could extend, but that would not be required if today”s close were above 4.70. A pullback should hold 4.15 to maintain the upside momentum. Next higher target would be 5.45 Posted 5 days ago
casjf — SZYM – Thanks for the reality check :) Posted 5 days ago
fennecby — Rod – does what seems like an inverted head and shoulders on the GTLS chart today have any predictive meaning? Posted 4 days ago — “Edited”
Angceleste09 — Thanks Rod on CLF. Posted 4 days ago
fennecby — Morning Rod (at least here).
Couple of interests for today:
1. My GTLS H&S question from last night;
2. BLRX – huge volume yesterday, but not sure there was an actual breakout. What”s next?
3. TSEM. Last we spoke of it, Feb 24, it just gapped up and you were looking for it to reclaim 16.5 for a new upleg. It has, since then, formed what looks to be an ascending triangle. Is a break higher in the cards? And if so, aiming where? Your previous target on a new upleg was “Potential to 19.30”, but that was 2 months ago and the current formation looks (to me) ripe for extending further. What say you? Posted 4 days ago — “Edited”
kit650kr — U covered it FENN, thanks Posted 4 days ago
Rod David — GTLS — re: inverted H&S… More of a Cup & Handle, since volume didn”t contract all the way through the right side of the formation. Posted 4 days ago
Rod David — BLRX — No breakout yesterday, but follow-through today on further volume expansion would be credible Posted 4 days ago
Rod David — TSEM — No change, not really. Might find too much resistance at 19.05, but closing above it would point higher. Posted 4 days ago
Miss Kitty — Are you still interested in buying long CARA in the $11.30-$11.45 range? Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — Yes. How much you got? And why are we whispering? Posted 4 days ago
Miss Kitty — ;-) Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — VPCO — Very interesting surge from testing .76 recently, to 1.08. Extending above 1.15 would target 1.35 Posted 4 days ago — “Edited”
Rod-David — OXIS — Still monitoring this .030-.033 range for support. Closing back above it would signal the correction had ended. Posted 4 days ago
casjf — OXIS – Been watching also and nibbled a bit. So far so good. Posted 4 days ago
recentiy03 — Rod, regarding MDCN, looks like the 50 day MA crossed below the 200 day MA on the 14th right before a big upwards move and then a major drop yesterday; do you read much into the cross as being the reason for the drop (since it appears to have dropped 2 days later, not right away) or do you think the drop was more likely the result of a really poor 10K and possible dilution? Posted 4 days ago
casjf — P.S. SZYM – I”m out for now. Thought I”d go with a safer penny stock like OXIS …. LOL Posted 4 days ago
recentiy03 — Don”t see how to edit or delete my previous question, but… MDCN — looks like the 50 day MA crossed below the 200 day MA on the 15th right before a big upwards move…and then there was a major drop yesterday; now today it appears to have crossed again right before a major drop…isn”t that the opposite of what one would normally expect when MAs cross? Posted 4 days ago
recentiy03 — MDCN — OK, crazy timing, looks like the chart may not correlate to traditional TA because of a poor 10K yesterday and now apparently a reverse split was announced. Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — Marketfy has been experiencing issues with its order platform, so perhaps that”s why you haven”t yet received a Trade Alert on buying OXIS. Its testing of my .030-.033 pullback objective seems to be complete with it now surging above .033. Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — MDCN — The only application of moving averages I”ve found informative is their usage in the MACD indicator (essentially, the difference between two exponentially smoothed M/As). Posted 4 days ago
Angceleste09 — What was your buy on OXIS Rod? Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — I had one order at .031 limit and another at a 034 buy-stp Posted 4 days ago
Josey — Rod, I know this info is forbidden but for the future group but, It looks like we are going to retest the previous S & P lows (2060 or less). If the market is healthy it should not be doing a retest, correct? Is this noise, a correction to the 1900”s, or healthy for new high”s??? Any bit of your thought”s would be very appreciative :) Posted 4 days ago — “Edited”
Miss Kitty — So Rod, you bought OXIS? at 0.34? If so what is the stop loss and the target please. Posted 4 days ago
Rod-David — OXIS — Near-term target is .046, .031 stp Posted 3 days ago
Miss Kitty — Thanks. Posted 3 days ago
Rod-David — Josey — In the Futures room, this afternoon”s low tested and retested its target. And this being expiration, trend change is unlikely to be produced by today”s price action Posted 3 days ago
Josey — Thank You! Rod and all other eyes, have a great weekend :) Posted 3 days ago
Jo B — have a great weekend! Posted 2 days ag
o B — thanks Rod! locked n loaded on OXIS and a few others. hoping there”s a lift off of some sort next week! Posted Yesterday
Jo B — MDIN, OCFN, are these 2 worthy of your time? if u can will u take a look to see if there”s a predictable pattern? thank u Posted Yesterday
Rod David — MDIN — has had only one direction until recently which prevents taking measurements, but the volume pattern is impressive. (OCFN has no pattern) Posted Yesterday
fennecby — Thanks Rod.
Would you please add 3 stocks to the list?
The symbols are:
INQD
NMUS
OWCP Posted Yesterday
fennecby — Morning Rod.
Where would you put a stop on BIIB held long from 421.62? You had 426.35 as a new leg up indicator, which was breached back down Friday, but the uptrend line since Nov still looks (just) intact. How much wiggling room do I have assuming I don”t want to get stuck even medium-term? Posted Yesterday
casjf — MSRT – is it possible to add this to your universe of cannabis-related stocks? (Hasn”t been listed very long but is up quite a bit today, so definitely worth watching, although it could be new kid on the block interest…) Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — MSRT, INQD, NMUS, OWCP — There are no established trading patterns and limited history and liquidity. So, while these may do business in the sector, their stocks aren”t necessarily representative of it. We should revisit them quarterly. Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — BIIB — It”s more a function of timing than of price at this point. Friday”s dip needs to be recovered and reversed without delay to prove it was only expiration related. Still, Friday”s low does need to hold as support while awaiting a close above 434-435 Posted Yesterday
fennecby — got it, thanks. Posted Yesterday
Jo B — Tx Posted Yesterda
iss Kitty — Just got stopped out at 0.031. You”re buying it again? Posted Yesterday
recentiy03 — I”m a bit unclear, too–I was under the impression you had bought at .031 and (either) .033 (or .034) but it didn”t show up due to technical problems. You mentioned a .031 stop for that trade, so I”m not sure where exactly things stand. As for a target, if .03 is seemingly functioning as support, is the target/resistance at .045 or .051? Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — Frankly, I”m waiting for information from Marketfy about what the entry represents… There were two orders that triggered Friday, and I”m not sure which one this represents. Until this was placed manually into the portfolio, I wasn”t aware when or whether either would be placed manually into the portfolio. And not having either position in the portfolio, no stop was live… Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — …Really sorry about this, This position suddenly appearing was basically their reply to my reporting the problem Friday afternoon. Regardless, my parameters haven”t changed. If you”re aggressive and your stop has triggered, then know that the pattern remains intact if .31 holds through the close, and especially if .33 is recovered, too. Posted Yesterday
recentiy03 — Thanks, I actually cancelled your suggested stop so my position never closed, and I didn”t take profits this morning since the original target was still a ways off, however I was curious about whether or not the pattern is in tact and what to look for going forward. Posted Yesterday
Miss Kitty — Thanks for the update on your OXIS order, Rod. I hope Marketfy gets their act together soon with regard to placing trades in the portfolio and getting us timely trade alerts so we may benefit from that feature of this service. Posted Yesterday
fennecby — hey Rod – ONVO – just noise all the way to at least 5.38?
And what do you make of the SMG chart? Eyeing MJ, they say, both with its holdings in AERO and with its recent hydroponics purchase.
http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/article… Posted Yesterday
Rod-David — ONVO — The recent low fulfilled a 61.8% extension of the May-Febn descending triangle. Its 4.97 bounce limit was tested up to ~5.30, and closing any higher on expanding volume would be the first suggestion that the recovery can extend to 7.67. Meanwhile, closing under $4 again would not be bullish. Posted 23 hours ago
Rod-David — SMG — Closing above 66.66 would signal the recent pullback has ended, targeting new highs beginning at 70 Posted 23 hours ago
fennecby — thanks. and while on 3D – where (if) can SGLB run from here? Posted 23 hours ago
Rod-David — SGLB — Could get to .147 so long as pullbacks hold .093 and .087 as support Posted 23 hours ago — “Edited”
casjf — OXIS – what is the stop? Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — OXIS — .275 stop on anything held past the .031 stop. Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — CARA — Closing above 12.23 would target 14.05 Posted 3 hours ago
ngceleste09 — Ty Rod Posted 4 hours ago
casjf — OXIS – Rod, since the sub-pennies aren”t printing out on the Marketfy trade alerts, going forward, would you please also post the exact prices on the threads in the headers so they are easy to find? Thanks. Posted 4 hours ago
Josey — Hi Rod, Anything new with FEYE action. Last 3 days have gaped, 1 down 2 up and it looks to challenge its high next? Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — casjf — I”m still waiting on that answer, too, sorry. Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — OXIS — I will buy back on a close above .030 Posted 4 hours ago
recentiy03 — Is it significant that OXIS apparently filled a gap from Feb. 27th and bounced back? Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — Probably a lot of buy limit orders resting there. Posted 4 hours ago
casjf — CARA – what is the current target? Posted 4 hours ago
Rod-David — CARA — Closing above 12.23 would target 14.05 Posted 3 hours ago
Rod-David — FEYE — Since testing my 39 pullback target, I”m only aware of getting closer to earnings next week, and Barron”s mentioned some sort of presentation this week. Posted 3 hours ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Rod. I”m looking for an entry point on the pullback of OSLH. I”m calculating .0088 for 61.8 retrace from .001 to .0215? Anything targets above that? Posted 3 hours ago
Rod-David — OSLH — I”m not sure why those prices are being used. I”m looking at a retracement of the rally leg from Apr 9-10 to the high, which comes in around .148. Closing above it today would suggest the pullback held Posted 3 hours ago — “Edited”
Tony 48.75VAPEs — My bad it went up to .0274… Posted 3 hours ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — So 61.8 retrace would be .0111 Posted 3 hours ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Thanks Posted 3 hours ago
Tony 48.75VAPEs — Absolute low apr 10 was .0073. High apr 15 was .0274 so… .0274 – .618(0274 – .0073) = .01498 I”m tryin to get the hang of this Posted 3 hours ago
fennecby — morning Rod. How”s JAKK looking to you today? Posted 3 hours ago
Rod-David — JAKK — Holding 6.65 would complete a 61.8% projection from its recent Double Top. Back above 7.03 would confirm momentum reversing back up. Posted an hour ago
casjf — KITE – sold yesterday. Looking to buy back in. At what price point would you recommend buying back in, or would you? Let it settle out for another day? Posted an hour ago
casjf — SZYM – same thing – looking for place to buy back in… Posted an hour ago
Rod-David — KITE — Today”s high peaked upon retracing 61.8% of yesterday”s drop. Closing above today”s high would suggest yesterday”s drop was being retraced, and potentially resuming the rally. I don”t see any rush meanwhile. Posted 59 minutes ago
Rod-David — SZYM — 3.78 is an attractive pullback limit, which having been met, could launch a recovery that would be signaled back above 4.22 Posted 57 minutes ago
casjf — Thanks, Rod! Posted 36 minutes ag

The Universe, week of April 20 2015… GWPH target met, newer buys, TRTC challenge

Note: I publish “The Universe” every weekend, updating my support and resistance calculations for Marijuana sector stocks. It is not a projection, but a handy reference… Non-Marijuana stocks are covered elsewhere during the week.]

Links to ||
Last week”s Universe || Prior week”s Universe || Previous week”s Universe ||

Three of the seven stocks I highlighted here last week experienced notable gains — CARA, OSLH and CNAB. A fourth, OXIS, fulfilled its pullback target that I began describing one week earlier on Livestox. The remaining two bullish patterns remained intact, DIGP and MYHI, while SRNA”s lows held their ground.

Marketfy”s portfolio Trade Alert system has been experiencing difficulties, preventing two orders I placed Friday in OXIS from reporting fills at .031 and .034. In case Marketfy”s problems aren”t resolved soon, know that I am also stalking CARA.

Be sure to monitor the Activity Feed for my updated pricing. Also, consider sending me your email address for a back-up list I”m compiling in case there is ever an outage of the platform altogether — Bloomberg went dark globally Friday, so let”s not stick our collective heads in the sand.

Regarding two other stocks: GWPH fulfilled my longstanding 115 target, and is now probing the room for noise above it. TRTC can”t tolerate any further weakness without opening the door to sharply lower lows, so firming only modestly ahead of its alleged CNBC midweek segment would be a concern.

Saturday Review’s recording (for 4/18/15) — Was Friday’s drop just a one-off?

A funny thing happened on the way to retesting prior highs… Greece makes “not-news” on Grexit, China makes real news with short-selling, and  Bloomberg terminals prevent even reading the news. Result? Traders scramble for the exits ahead of weekend illiquidity. Can the upside resume, how, and how to recognize it almost immediately, are just three questions answered in this weekend”s Saturday Review (linked below). Also, stock chart analysis requests! (OXIS, MU, STX, ADM, PCAR, LRCX, KR, DG, ALV, GOOGL, FB, NFLX)

NEW! The recording was made in MP4, with superior audio quality, and accessible by a variety of platforms:
